In the Irish Records Extraction Database there is a marriage of Hugh Jordan in 1822 to an Agnes Alexander in Co Down. This  is the only marriage record of a Hugh Jordan anywhere in the index - but 1822 may be too early and religaion is presbyterian  yet next 2 generations are catholic
